Dear Debbie, I work for the Derwent Cumberland Pencil Company in the UK we make Derwent Fine art materials. I am currently commissioning some new drawings to add to our Charcoal and Graphite Blocks portfolios. Would you be interested in accepting a commission from us to do 2 drawings one using Charcoal Blocks and one using Graphite Blocks? In terms of subjects I was drawn to your lighthouse images for the graphite blocks and possibly a drawing of trees using the Charcoal Blocks but this is up for discussion. I particularly liked the images you have on your web site ‘ Woods in the Winter’ and the Graphite blocks for a lighthouse. If you are interested please let me know. Also, If you could let me have your address I will send you some blocks tomorrow. |

the Chinese artists felt that if you could handle black and white well color would not be such a problem. in doing black and white you must be able to express all the colors of the rainbow and their hues with only these two. congratulations… |

I love high-contrast images to begin with, so this one jumped right out at me. You've really captured the effect that glass would have on those trees; helps me visualize all of the glass in the window. Very nicely done |
